NCCPAP’S NEIL FISHMAN TO APPEAR ON TAX TALK TODAY TV WEBCAST

The National Conference of CPA Practitioners (NCCPAP) is pleased to       announce that Neil H. Fishman, CPA, CFE, of Fishman Associates, an active member of several national committees of NCCPAP and Vice-chair of the Nassau/Suffolk Chapter Education Committee, will be a panel member on the IRS’s upcoming Tax Talk Today  TV webcast.  The program, How the Bank Secrecy Act Impacts You and Your Clients, can be seen on Tuesday, March 8 at 2:00 – 3:00 PM EST. The course is geared to practitioners with small business clients who accept or disburse cash in the course of their trade or business, offer check cashing for customers, sell money orders, or redeem traveler’s checks and money orders. It examines recent legislation that has expanded the scope of anti-money laundering laws and federal reporting and registration requirements. Neil and the distinguished panel members will provide real world advice on meeting the new Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements.

Neil H. Fishman, CPA, CFE, has been in practice since 1989.  He is a  principal in Fishman Associates with offices in Rockville Centre, NY and Boynton Beach, FL. Neil is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Oneonta, and is licensed as a CPA in New York and Florida.

The panel will also include moderator Les Witmer, APR, a communications        consultant who retired after 34 years with the Federal Government, serving the       last 23 years with the Internal Revenue Service;  Theresa McGill, Senior Bank       Secrecy Act Specialist, Taxpayer Education and Communication (TEC) Unit,       Small Business/Self-Employed Division, Internal Revenue Service and Don       Temple, Director of Anti-Money Laundering Investigations, Commerce Bank,  a nationally recognized expert in the area of currency reporting, money  laundering, the detection of suspicious transactions, and fraud investigations.
